The seniors were busy doing some career exploration today at the Workforce Solutions Career Expo at the Civic Center. Always a great event for student across the South Plains.

HB 3908 mandates that schools provide education on fentanyl and other poisonous drugs to secondary students. In compliance with this requirement, local DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) agents will be conducting an educational class assembly titled "One Pill Can Kill" on Friday October 12th at 3:00 to all secondary students. This assembly aims to provide students with valuable insights into the dangers associated with drugs, particularly those in pill form, that are impacting our local community. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact Mr. Atcheson at the High School.

Huge Congrats to HS and JH Cross Country Teams. Our varsity boys finished 3rd as a team and qualified for Regionals at Mae Simmons on October 23rd. Individually Kyle Woodard is your district champion finishing 1st. Brayson Parker finished 5th. Joey Harrington also qualified for regionals on the girls side finishing 6th over all. On the junior high side Riggin Day is your district champ finishing 1st. Ben Tackitt finished 7th and Cody Clanton finished 9th. #Believe

Mrs. Estes has been doing weekly lessons over respect for each Elementary class this month. A student from each grade level received an award for showing respect to others, themselves, and the school community. Congratulations to the following recipients! Students in Mrs. Rance's Family and Community Services classes were invited to tour the new Cash Family Ranch Life Learning Center at the National Ranching Heritage Center this morning. They had the opportunity, as the first high school student group, to test out and tour the new facilities and interactive exhibits to offer their suggestions for improvement and to help the center prepare for their official opening day to the public next week on October 13th.

We had a class competition to begin the school year. They classes with the higest passing and attendance rate would receive ice cream. Congrats to our 6th grade class and our Juniors. #BELIEVE

Twin/Triplet day!! Our Seniors have painted the road. We will have the Bonfire tonight at 7:00. Friday we host Claude with two games. JH at 6:00. Varsity at 7:30. We will crown our Homecoming Queen and Football King at halftime of the varsity game. It's a great week for Bronco Nation!! #BELIEVE

Meadow ISD has received notice from the city that we are under a boil water notice for the next couple of days. We will have bottles of water for your children, but feel free to send your child to school with water. We will turn off the water fountains until the boil notice is lifted. Thank you.
