
This past week, Meadow FCCLA had 10 students compete at State FCCLA in Dallas after advancing from their region competition in February. We are so proud of this amazing group of student leaders and their accomplishments this year. They have made a big impact on the school and community with their projects this year. Here are their results:
Kaylee Morin placed 1st at region and competed at the state level in National Programs in Action with her mental health summit and lock-in project.
Addison Garcia, Jordan Hernandez, and Abigail Gonzalez placed 2nd at region and competed at the state level in Promote & Publicize FCCLA! with their promotion campaign "Making Meadow Mindful".
Alexa Madrigal, Alissa Simental, and Isabell Contreras placed 1st at region and competed at the state level in Spotlight on Projects: Stand Up about the chapter's attendance and volunteerism at the Terry County Suicide Walk.
Destiny Madrigal, Cindy Gonzalez, Hailey Joplin, and Cindy Gonzalez advanced to state with gold and silver medals in their Family and Consumer Sciences Assessments (FCSA's) in Step One.
Abigail Gonzales received a bronze medal for her state FCSA.
Alissa Simental received a perfect score and gold medal for her state FCSA!



Congratulations to both the Girls and Boys Golf Teams at Regionals yesterday and today. The Girls shot a personal best as a team. The Boys placed 3rd and are headed back to the State Golf Tournament. Congratulations #SHAKA

Congratulations to the Broncos and Lady Broncos Track Teams at the Area Track Meet today. They all competed well. A big congratulations to the following athletes for advancing to The Regional Meet at SPC on April 29th and 30th. Keira Acosta - Triple Jump, Long Jump and the 3200. Niko Castaneda - Discus and Shot Put. Tate McBee - Pole Vault. Trevor Brockway - Triple Jump. Wes Woodard - Triple Jump and the Boys 4x200 Relay - Tate McBee, Wes Woodard, Jimmy German and Jesus Franco

NHS Induction Banquet will be next Tuesday, April 19th in the Meadow Cafeteria at 6:30pm. Letters of membership status (selection or non-selection) have been sent with students who were selected to apply. All current Meadow NHS members are invited to attend along with family members. We are very proud of everyone and their willingness to put effort into completing the NHS application process! If you have any questions please let Ms.Retana know.
I have also attached the Constitution of the Beverly Gibson Chapter of the National Honor Society at Meadow High School.





There has been a change in the Boys Regional Golf tournament. The boys will now play at Meadowbrook Golf course in Lubbock, TX. Girls location remains the same. Thank you

High school students and Parents- we will complete schedule request tomorrow night at the CTE fair in the gym 6:30 - 8.
The CTE fair is for grades 5 - 11. Please make plans to attend and learn about what Meadow has to offer our students.

The JH Bronco Bots teams competed in the GEAR Robotics Frenship League Game Day today. The team of Isaac Estrada, Tripp Moore, and Kyle Woodard placed 2nd overall and 1st in the Young Engineers Award. The team of Kaylee Carrillo, Adrian Fraire, and Cena Young received 2nd place in the Young Engineer Award. Both teams will advance to the Playoffs at Texas Tech. Also competing today were Marty Garcia, Brayson Parker, Francisco Arita, Joey Harrington, Melanie Calhoun and Klinton Coffman.





Meadow FFA had a great day at the Texas Tech Area CDE. The Livestock, Poultry , Ag Mech, and Nursery/Landscape teams all competed today. Nursery/Landscape Team made up of Trevor Brockway, Taylor Caswell, Andrea Fraire, and Joslyn Garza advanced to State with a 1st place in Area and 2nd in the overall competition. I am extremely proud of all our students that competed today. They all have worked very hard and deserve the recognition! More teams will compete this week at their Area competition. Congratulations!!!

Great day at the district track meet today. Boys and Girls were the 3rd place teams overall. Girls advanced 9 to area and boys advanced 8. They will compete next Thursday in Garden City. Congratulations. Way to represent Meadow.

Theater kids at Lubbock Community Theater’s production of Peter Pan on Her 70th Birthday
