Thank you very much for visiting with our students! They enjoyed talking and learning from you as they are preparing to run for the mayor of Burleson Elementary! We value student leadership opportunities and learning from other great leaders in our community!
Natalie, we appreciate your dedication to our community and school district 💜💛

With the start of the 21-22 school year Covid-19 rates are going up across the state and it will affect Meadow ISD. While there is no single thing that will completely protect us from the virus, there are several things we can do to help keep our infection rates down. We will use social distancing when possible and our smaller class sizes will help with that. We will continue to promote hand washing and are providing hand sanitizer. Our classrooms have desk shields that will help with the spread of germs through the air between students. You have the option for your children to wear facemasks and I know many of you are doing so. I have personally decided that I will start masking myself at school. I do not like them anymore than anyone else, but I feel like it is right for me. If you are interested in the vaccine for your children who are eligible, please contact your family doctor for information. We will always be glad to help you with finding a vaccine site if you need us. We also offer Covid-19 testing if you would like to take advantage of it. Please continue to monitor your children for symptoms before sending them to school. It appears that stomach issues and fever are common with this in children. If you have concerns or need help, please feel free to contact me. Thank you. bric.turner@meadowisd.net
