Congratulations to all the local stock show exhibitors at the Meadow Local Stock Show last Thursday. Attached are the Grand Champion winners for each animal. Come out Thursday, Friday and Saturday to show your support at the Terry County Stock Show in Brownfield. Lambs and goats show Thursday at 5 pm. Swine show is Friday starting at 9 am. Steers show Saturday at 9 am.
Tanya Turner has been selected as the elementary teacher of the month for December.
The elementary awards ceremony for the third six weeks and for the fall semester will be on January 22 at 2:45 in the carpet gym. Please make plans to attend.
Time Change to Jr. High Basketball:
Thursday's, 1/10/19, games in Ropes will start at 4:00 p.m. and will be followed by games at 5, 6, and 7.

For Meadow Secondary students the school day will begin at 7:45 with the first bell. Tardy bell for 1st period will ring at 7:50.

Beginning January 8th the junior high and high school will start 15 minutes earlier. We will be able to extend our Mentor/Uil period by doing this. The first bell will ring at 7:45 am and the tardy bell for 1st period will ring at 7:50 am.
Meadow Youth Basketball sign-ups are due this Friday. All kids grades k-6 can participate. Please share and help get the word out. Forms are in the elementary office. Friday is the LAST day to sign up!
School will dismiss at 12 noon on Friday, December 21st. Buses will run at 12:10 pm.
7th graders programmed an animal toss game on their Sphero’s and demonstrated the game to 2nd graders. The 2nd graders also had an opportunity to manually control the robot; they were eager to learn more about Sphero’s. Both groups of students really enjoyed the activity.

Don't forget the fall elementary program tonight in the carpet gym. Program begins at 6:30. Students need to be here no later than 6:15. See you tonight.
On December 18th the JH will attend the Education Day game at Texas Tech sponsored by the Lady Raider Basketball program. Lunch will be provided and tickets are free. Students will need concession money if they choose but prices will be like going to the movies. $4 popcorn, $7 nachos, etc. We will be back before school is out for the day.
